Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 small Asian pear peeled and finely grated
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 2 pounds Korean-style beef short ribs

Instructions
 

  • Make the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, pear, garlic, mirin, sesame oil, ginger, sesame seeds, and green onions.

  • Marinate the short ribs: Place the short ribs in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag or large bowl and pour the marinade over them. Marinate overnight in the refrigerator, turning the bag occasionally.

  • Grill the short ribs: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Add the short ribs to the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached. Flip the short ribs once during cooking.
